First Draft - Project Proposal

Test Pieces of work
  •  Background design
  • Short Dark Clip
  • Digital animation
Section 1

  • Reflection and review of progress - I feel I've progressed well through each part, learning how to make an animation and gaining skills.
  • Why I chose the animation and film pathway - Animation caught my eye during the brief and I've always had an interest in wanting to be involved with making movies. As I've already studied films in media I took the opportunity of part 2 to learn a new skill.
  • Long term aspirations - Directing or Producing movies. (Preferably Horror)
  • Where have you come from and where are you going? - I have never made any animation before this course, and now feel comfortable in doing tasks revolving around cut-out animations and digital. So hopefully this can come in handy with making movies.

Section 2
  • Concept and aims of project - Combining a film and animation together to make a scary/creepy atmosphere in the hope of making a horror.
  • Early ideas, research and bibliography

  • What are you going to produce + what will you need -
  • A film mixed with animation. I will need to use a graphics tablet and Photoshop as well as references and filming the scenes with a video camera and props.
  • Storyboard so I can see how things turn out and have a plan.
  • What are you interested in exploring and what will you learn from it - I'm interest in exploring different techniques of animation and how to make a horror/creepy movie using both. I will learn whether the techniques work.

Section Three
  • How will you analyse - Questions and Peers
  • How will you know it is successful - Asking a large amount of people from strangers to friends so  that the results are not based from a few.
